2016 was one of the worst years for Hollywood as we lost too many pop icons in this year – From Legend Muhammad Ali to our very own ‘Princess’ Carrie Fisher. As if that was not enough, Suicide won an Academy award and Deadpool was not even nominated. Also Cassey Affleck won academy award for best actor which was not acceptable by many fans due to the harassment case filed on Cassey.
2017 is off to good start. John Wick Chapter 2 has set high bars for action movies releasing in 2017. The Lego batman Movie was also loved by fan. Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackman have quit X-Men Universe and we really wonder how the X-men franchise will survive without them. Among the most anticipated films of 2017 is Star Wars: The Last Jedi. So is Luke Skywalker going to die? Han Solo died in episode VIII. We Lost Carrie Fisher in 2016, so if Luke Skywalker dies than who will be the flag bearer of Star Wars Saga?
DC will try to revive its universe with two most awaited movies – Wonder woman and Justice League. I wish so bad that they do not turn out a disaster like Batman vs Superman or Suicide Squad. Marvel will enter into phase 3 with its film Thor Ragnarok which will also feature The Hulk. So who is going to win Thor VS Hulk? The Asgardian god of thunder will die in the end?
Christopher Nolan will be back on big screen after a 3 year hiatus. Will ‘Dunkirk’ prove to be a blockbuster like ‘Interstellar’ or Inception?
James Gunn might deliver the biggest hit of the year with ‘Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2’. Also the monster universe will kick off this year with the first film ‘The Mummy’ starring Tom Cruise.
